1.2 How We Use Your Information
We use data on your device to:
- Show your greeting, exam countdown, and study path
- Save recall, Prelims, Mains, and PYQ progress
- Let you photograph a handwritten answer for practice
- Display current-affairs headlines from public news feeds
1.3 Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The Unfold UPSC apps do not use advertising cookies, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.
1.4 Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell personal data.
News headlines are requested from public feeds, including The Hindu and The Indian Express. Those publishers receive the network request required to load the feed. Official UPSC answer-key pages may open in the device browser.
We may disclose information only if required by law.
1.5 Third-Party Content
| Source | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Public news feeds | Current-affairs headlines inside the app |
| UPSC official pages | Answer keys opened in the browser |
Those sites process requests under their own privacy policies.
1.6 Your Choices
There is no cloud account to delete. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, removes the name, progress, and any answer photo stored on the device.
Camera access is optional. You can deny it in system settings. Daily Answer capture will not work without it.
1.7 Data Security
Progress and answer photos remain on your device. No method of storage is perfectly secure, and a device backup made by your operating system may include app data under that system’s own settings.
1.8 Children’s Privacy
Unfold UPSC is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
